About The Green House Growers
Hello, we’re the Green House Growers! We’ve been growing fresh food since 1977, beginning as a small family business with just over 1ha of tomatoes. Now we have 48ha across our nurseries in Sussex, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire. Over the years we’ve become known for the best quality and for pioneering sustainability.
Our team has over 300 years of combined experience in growing the best tasting, freshest food. We’ve always been at the forefront of reducing environmental impact, whether that is using bumblebees for production or taking care of every drop of water we use. Most recently at our nurseries in Norwich and Ely, we’ve become one of the first growers to use waste heat from water treatment plants and reservoirs, reducing our carbon footprint by up to 60%.
We now account for nearly 20% of tomatoes and 25% cucumbers grown in the UK!
